Mudis often do not train like other dogs. They are a thinking dog and are sensitive, yet need firm rules and boundaries. They like to keep things fun too! Working with a Mudi is like working with a partner, it is give and take. Once you earn the trust and respect of your Mudi, they are willing to try anything for you! Too harsh of corrections and long training sessions can cause them to shut down. They were trusted to work independently and instinctually on the farm, so do not like to be micro-managed. These key details can make all the difference in the success of your training.
